Daniel et Florence Guerlain

Friedrich Kunath

Born in 1974, Friedrich Kunath attended Braunschweig University of Art, in Germany, and now lives in Los Angeles.
His first solo exhibition was held in 1998 at the BQ gallery, Cologne, but his work had initially been shown at the Peters-Barenbrock Galerie, Braunschweig, in 1994. He has since exhibited worldwide, including a solo show at the Credac, outside Paris in Ivry-sur-Seine, in 2014.
His works now feature in several collections, including the Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh), the Centre Pompidou, the Deste Foundation (Athens), the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the Florence and Daniel Guerlain Collection, the Frans Hals Museum (Haarlem), the Hammer Museum and the County Museum of Art (Los Angeles), MoMA, the Pinault Collection and the Walker Art Center... He is represented by Blum & Poe (Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo) and VNH (Paris)
